Governed voice AI for regulated work.

Telephony, disclosure and policy sit in one place, per country. The Article 50 disclosure is spoken inside the call loop rather than filed in a policy document. The input hash, the output hash and the link to the receipt before it: no key, no account and no access to our systems. Voice itself: In controlled testing.

The boundary moment

The caller hears a normal sentence. The ceiling is what decided it.

Three turns from one call. The agent says it is an AI, the caller asks for a discount above the ceiling the organisation set, and the agent answers inside the mandate without ever saying no. Beside each turn: the check that ran, what it decided, and what went onto the receipt. Your organisation sets the ceiling. Audact enforces it.

  1. Check that ran

Does this call carry a disclosure duty, in which language, and at which moment: read from the policy pack of the country the call arrived in.

    Recorded

Spoken in the first turn, before anything is asked of the caller. Article 50 is a transparency duty, so the call carries on from here.

    Written to the receipt

A line opens: the disclosure, the wording used, and the second it landed.

  2. Check that ran

Is four hundred euros of discount inside what this agent was given? The ceiling is €150 per order, set by the organisation and not by us.

    Refused

It is not. The discount was never released and nothing was promised to the caller. The refusal is a fact about this call, not a message read out to the person on the line.

    Written to the receipt

The request, the ceiling it ran into, and the refusal — all three go on the receipt.

  3. Check that ran

Is the sentence the agent is about to say itself inside the mandate: the hold until Friday, and the handover.

    Allowed

Holding the quote at the list price is inside what this agent may do, so the sentence went out. The caller hears a working answer and no boundary at all.

    Needs a person

The four hundred euros now sits with the account manager, with the reason attached. A person decides it, or nobody does.

    Written to the receipt

The reply, the handover and the reason are written before the call is passed on.

An example written out turn by turn, not a recording. The ceiling, the wording of the disclosure and the language come from the policy pack of the country the call runs in.

Inside the call

The disclosure sits in the call loop, not in a policy document.

A policy document does not speak. The duty does its work in the seconds where the caller can still act on it, so the disclosure is a turn in the conversation (before anything is asked of the caller) and a line in the receipt.

Article 50 of the EU AI Act has applied since 2 August 2026. It is a transparency duty and not a ban: a person has to be told they are talking to an AI system, and once they have been told the deployment carries on.

  1. 00:00
    Audact agent

Good morning, you have reached the practice. You are speaking with an AI assistant.

    Recorded

The Article 50 disclosure is the first sentence, before anything is asked of the caller. The receipt records that it was spoken, and when.

  2. 00:06
    Caller

Can I move my appointment to Thursday?

    In scope

Checked against the national layer of the country the call arrived in, and against what this agent may do.

  3. 00:11
    Audact agent

I can move it. Thursday at 14:40 is free.

    Allowed

Inside the mandate. The action may take effect, and the turn becomes a line in the receipt.

  4. 00:29
    Caller

And can I get something off the price?

    Escalated

Above the ceiling for this agent. The reply is not spoken; the call goes to a person.

  5. 00:31
    Audact agent

I will put a colleague on the line for that.

    Needs a person

Handover, with the reason attached. Nothing has been promised to the caller.

  6. 01:12
    End of call

    The line clears.

    Closed

The receipt closes: input hash, output hash and the link to the receipt before it — three values anyone can recompute. Merkle inclusion follows once we publish the roots.

An example, not a recording. The wording, the moment the disclosure lands and the language all come from the policy pack of the country the call runs in.

Per country

The policy is not the same in every jurisdiction.

The EU baseline is the same everywhere; what sits on top of it is not. A country is green here only once a person has checked the national layer against the national text. Everything else stands on amber, including the work already under way.

  • Country
    Germany (DE)
    What the national layer adds
UWG rules on telephone contact, plus the German wording of the disclosure.
    Status
    Complete
    Where it stands
Checked against the national text and in use in the product.
  • Country
    Netherlands (NL)
    What the national layer adds
The Telecomwet and UAVG layer on top of the EU baseline.
    Status
    In development
    Where it stands
In progress; green once a person has checked it against the national text.
  • Country
    Belgium, Flanders (BE)
    What the national layer adds
The Belgian national layer on top of the EU baseline.
    Status
    Queued
    Where it stands
Next in line after the Netherlands.
  • Country
    Austria (AT)
    What the national layer adds
The Austrian national layer on top of the EU baseline.
    Status
    Queued
    Where it stands
    Follows Belgium.

Amber marks a national layer that no person has checked yet. Until one has, no call runs on it. Switzerland is not in this table: it lies outside the EU and the EEA, so the AI Act does not apply there directly.

Under the call

Five moving parts, and a layer that decides between them.

No vendor logos here: the parts are interchangeable. What does not move is where the governance layer sits: between what the model intends and anything the caller can hear or act on.

  1. 01

    SIP telephony

The call arrives on a number, in a country.

  2. 02

    WebRTC transport

Audio in both directions, with turn detection.

  3. 03

    Speech recognition

    The caller's words become text.

  4. 04

    Language model

The text becomes an intended reply and, sometimes, an intended action.

  5. 05

    Speech synthesis

    The approved reply becomes audio.

Audact
  • What the model intends is checked before it can be spoken or acted on.
  • It carries the policy pack of the country: the disclosure, where in the call it lands, and what this agent may commit to.
  • It writes a line to the compliance receipt per turn: input hash, output hash, and the link to the line before it.

Above the ceiling, the reply never reaches 05. It stops and goes to a person, and the stop is recorded like anything else.

The product today

What runs today, and what each call leaves behind.

The call, the systems it reaches while it runs, and the receipt that stays behind afterwards. A receipt is visible in the product for governed interactions; production export works today. Voice itself: In controlled testing. The founding cohort is open to a limited number of external agencies. Terms and figures are in the price book. On /pricing: €1,497 to implement and €499 a month, the founding rate for Audact's first three external agencies. Fourteen days to walk away, then monthly cancellation, no annual minimum. A test call does not close that window.

Works today

  • Running

An interactive walkthrough of a governed call in the browser, turn by turn, without an installation. It is a worked example, not a call: the receipt at the end is the one your own browser then recomputes on the next page.

  • Working

Custom function and tool calling, so the agent can reach your systems during the call.

  • Working

Retell-compatible webhooks, so an existing integration keeps working.

  • Running

    Primary application hosting in Frankfurt.

  • Checked

The German national layer, checked against the national text by a person.

  • Working

A compliance receipt per call, written turn by turn and closed when the line clears.

  • Three facts, recomputable by anyone

The input hash, the output hash and the link to the receipt before it. No key, no account and no access to our systems. A fourth, inclusion in the Merkle root, follows once we publish the roots — that publication and the open endpoint for it are in development.

Start

Run one governed call, then decide.

Voice is our first commercial application and it is in controlled testing. It runs under your own brand, per end-client. Germany is the national layer that has been checked; the Netherlands is being written, Flanders and Austria follow. An existing Retell integration keeps working, so you do not rebuild the agent. Walk through a governed call first — a worked example, turn by turn — and see exactly what a call leaves behind before you talk to us.
