Audact is control and proof infrastructure for consequential AI. A mandate fixes what a machine may cause on the company's behalf (the ceiling, the scope, the expiry) before the action runs; anything above that line is stopped, and the stop is recorded; and every governed action leaves a compliance receipt. Getting it right

Three things reporters get wrong about this beat.

  • Article 50 of the EU AI Act has applied since 2 August 2026 and it is a transparency duty, not a ban. Deploying an AI voice agent in the EU is lawful; doing it without telling the person is what creates exposure.
  • For SMEs and start-ups the penalty ceiling is the lower of €15 million or 3% of worldwide annual turnover. See point (152) of the Commission guidelines C(2026)5054 of 20 July 2026. The phrasing 'whichever is higher' circulates widely and is wrong for this group.
  • A full provenance chain is not mandatory: point (73) of the same guidelines says so explicitly. Anyone selling proof, us included, should say that out loud.

Are the patents granted?
No. They are applications filed at the UK Intellectual Property Office, the earliest with priority dates in February 2026. Please write patent-pending, not patent-protected, and please do not describe the portfolio as granted or enforceable.
Can I say Audact is certified or approved under the AI Act?
Article 50 is a transparency duty. It carries no certificate and no harmonised standard, so no vendor can be certified for it.
